To pay tribute to the late engineer, Nike will be releasing a special edition Air Max Scorpion. Dressed in a Racer Blue, Safety Orange, and Game Royal color scheme constructed in a Flyknit build with stitched Swooshes. The colors along with dashes of yellow and “Safety Orange” reference Rudy’s iconic “Nike Air” California license plate. Branding on the tongue and heel tab arrives in a digital dotted font and insoles feature mismatched blueprint graphics. Rounding out the look are pressure gauge hangtags and the Scorpion’s signature thick wavy sole units featuring “Est. 2022” print.
