From dancing to producing music, Lay Zhang is constantly pushing himself and expressing himself through his innovative work. This collaborative design is inspired by the traditional Chinese cultural symbol “Blue & White Porcelain”, and includes a lotus flower detail that represents Chinese culture , while the Bandana represents dance inspiration from the west; the blend of these eastern and western details sit atop a “glow in the dark” outsole. Lay Zhang and Converse together, have broken the cultural boundaries with this collaboration to erupt a side of creative freedom through traditional Chinese culture — founded upon elements of the traditional past, to create a dynamic future.
