Releasing alongside the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico Orange Frost, the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico Blue Gale celebrates this year’s Puerto Rico Day, which takes place during June in the U.S. along Fifth Avenue in the Manhattan borough of New York City. The sneaker pays homage to the Puerto Rican frozen treats (helados) known as “piraguas” that come in flavors such as coconut, passionfruit and pineapple. Done in an official color scheme listed as Blue Gale/Blue Gale-Barely Blue, this Air Max 1 is constructed in a mix of textile, leather, and suede.
