First released exclusively in Hawaii in 1978, the Tailwind 79 OG Grey Blue is the first shoe ever to feature an Air unit. Although it’s not as well known as other classics, such as the Cortez, it’s still regarded as one of the most important shoes in Nike’s history. Revived in its OG colourway, the Tailwind 79 OG Grey Blue is crafted from mesh and suede. A vintage cut foam tongue and thin laces provide more classic contrast, and the shoe is rounded off with clean white midsole and black waffle outsole.
